Bison offers the T-Rex portable basketball system for a wide range of applications, from elite FIBA-sanctioned international competitions to intramural and recreational play. Every T-Rex system features cutting-edge extension spring counterbalance technology, ensuring quick, easy, and safe adjustment for raising, lowering, and storing the system. The pivot points operate smoothly on zero-maintenance, self-lubricating bearings with chrome-plated steel axles, providing long-lasting durability. The weight ballast is securely housed in a covered containment cell, hidden from view. Narrow-profile uprights minimize visual interference for fans or media behind the base, while 8″ x 2″ wide floor-friendly casters (available in various configurations depending on the model) make transport a breeze. When in the transport position, all T-Rex models fit easily through doorways that are at least 84″ high and 78″ wide.
For programs that require additional play area, the T-Rex International offers 32″ more of safe play space. With today's fast-paced, aggressive style of play, we recommend the International model whenever possible to enhance player safety—especially if court space and budget allow. The decision to choose this model may depend on floor space between the court end line and surrounding bleachers or walls, as the T-Rex International has a 10′ 8″ safe play area. This version includes approximately 400 lbs of additional ballast and extra springs to accommodate the extended reach.
The T-Rex International shares the same premium features as the T-Rex Americana, including a high-quality glass backboard, 180° breakaway goal, beam and base padding, and an automatic base control system. All steel base components come with a standard bright white powder-coated finish, though a wide range of colors are available for an additional cost. For custom graphics, the ABC50 can be added to the padding. The T-Rex International is fully FIBA LEVEL 1 approved, making it suitable for international competition.
